I respect your opinion about Duke Nukem, but a video game Expendables team without Duke is not worthy of the Expendables title, think about it, The Expendables movie is about an assembling of the classic 80s and 90s action heroes in one movie with a few new ones, Duke Nukem is Stallon, Schwarzenegger, Willis, Campbell, Russel, Norris, Piper and Eastwood rolled up into one big awesome character, so having a video game Expendables team without Duke Nukem is like having the Expendables movie without Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallon, it's just not right no matter what the other members are.
oh wait, never mind, you're not the artist, so you're not welcome. Okay, I just looked at your page, and I see you're all about Duke Nukem. Here's my issue with your statement: While I do agree Nukem reflected the cheesy action movies of the 80's and 90's, I wouldn't say he's all those actors rolled in to one. The only one he's like is Schwarzenegger; a big muscle bound guy carrying a gun. Now Duke Nukem was a pretty cool game in the 90's, but the latest game took so long to be made that it was a joke. Then when it WAS finally made, it was just awful. The graphics were dated, the jokes were stale, the gameplay was terrible. But, hey, if you're in to a game where you pick up a turd and throw it around a bathroom then, have fun!
His latest game was like that because of the fact that it was in development hell that long, not development, Development and Development Hell are 2 very different things, DNF suffered countless problems, was passed down through multiple developers, ran out of funding multiple times, lost it's original team and had an idiot in charge, it was always gonna be flawed, can you really expect a massive incredible game after all that? The game was only released for the people who waited all that time for it and didn't care whether it was good or bad, we just wanted to play it and we finally did and yes I did like the game because I understood it and didn't have idiotic expectations, now that the development nightmare is finished and done, Gearbox will bring back Duke and restore his greatness. You hating on Duke and saying he doesn't belong in the video game Expendables is just your own opinion, nothing more because of the many gaming Expendables pictures and videos I've seen, your picture is so far the ONLY one I've seen that does not include Duke, therefor is the least badass of them all, you're alone in this.
I just find it funny how flipped out you're getting on this issue. I already said that I get it, you have a big (possibly erotic) obsession over Duke Nukem. Again, if you're content playing a game that nobody cared to even try to make half way decent, then that's your right. I really don't care. Also, I didn't even write to the guy that drew the image that Duke was a shitty character. I will say that I think he's a dated character. One other thing, I think it's sad that you didn't even have any kind of expectation for the game. I mean, really, Gearbox had the title for a long enough time, they could have polished it, or if anything, just go back to the drawing board, but they didn't. Instead, they decided to just take a shit in a box, price it at $60 (or a $100 special "extra corn" edition), and threw it into retail shops for people to buy.
But, as I said, I really don't care if you or anybody likes Duke Nukem, everyone has their favorite characters, and personally, I hope you're right and they do make a good Nukem game. I'm not holding my breath, but I hope. NOW, as for my image, I guess I'm sorry I didn't add Duke for you to lust over? I mean, you're really the only guy that has gone all total Shit-house about it, I mean, if it makes you feel better, I can draw a Duke picture just for you. Would you like that? A nice Duke Nukem picture for ya??
Yeah I'm a Duke fan but I'm not like that. I knew that DNF was not gonna be a massive groundbreaking game when it was released unless Gearbox started over, I didn't care what the game was like because I just wanted to play it, see what they were doing all those years, be supportive of that small group of people who lost their jobs and finished DNF out of their love for Duke and most of all just have Duke back in gaming. I'm willing to bet that GBX would have started over, but 2K wanted the money they lost over the 15 year development hell back and the only way they would get it is by releasing the game, making another game would cost them even more.
OK I get it, I just thought you were thinking it was fact that Duke doesn't belong on the team, my apologizes. No thanks on the picture cause with all due respect, I don't want a Duke picture coming from someone who assumes I have "erotic" feelings for Duke.
Lets just leave this where it is cause I don't want it to get out of hand any further.
